What is the music selection process like?
We aim to make the music selection process simple, collaborative, and stress-free. Firefly Strings maintains a large and constantly growing repertoire library featuring classical works, contemporary favorites, instrumental covers, and modern love songs for weddings and special events.
Most couples begin by selecting music for the key moments of the ceremony, which typically include seating of family members, the wedding party processional, the bride’s processional, and the recessional. From there, additional selections can be incorporated into the prelude as guests arrive or into a short postlude following the ceremony.
If there’s a song that is especially meaningful to you, just let us know. We are often able to source arrangements from our extended music library or recommend a similar piece that captures the same atmosphere and emotion for your wedding day.

Firefly Strings is based in eastern North Carolina between Raleigh and Greenville and regularly performs throughout the Triangle, including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and Chapel Hill, as well as coastal North Carolina from Wilmington to the Outer Banks. We frequently perform in Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, Beaufort, New Bern, Nags Head, and surrounding communities.
